Coach Lowenstein is a graduate of DeLand High School where he ran for the Cross Country and Track teams and played Soccer. He is a graduate of UCF with a bachelor's degree in Radio-Television Production. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Vickie Perri, who also teaches at DHS.

“Coach Low” holds a USATF Level I certification in Track & Field and has twice been elected to that sport's FHSAA State Advisory Committee.  He is also part of the Communications Academy at DeLand High School.  He lives in DeLand and as an alumnus of DeLand High School, takes great pride in seeing his former students and athletes move on to happy, successful lives.

Coach Lowenstein believes that all members of his teams should have a positive high school athletic experience. Athletes are accountable not only physically but personally.  He expects commitment and good decisions.  Athletes should attend all practices as well as competitions and they should manage their time wisely, by prioritizing faith, family, school and athletics.  He believes athletics should be part of a balanced life and that the best times are not measured by a stopwatch.

Coach would also like to thank Tony Tussing for all his help with DeLand Athletics and the City of DeLand for all of their support and the use of Sperling Sports Complex.  We are truly blessed to be living in such a fine community.
