Bio

I was born on a cold night in Allentown, Pennsylvania on January 6, 1981 to the parents of James and Jean Madzik. I lived in Bethlehem until the age of 9 when we moved to Florida. I attended Pine Ridge High School where I ran both Cross Country and Track and Field. I obtained a full scholarship to run at the University of North Florida where I earned All Academic 1^st team for the Peach Belt Conference several times along with 1^st Team All Conference.

After graduation I began teaching at Forest Lake Elementary and later Volusia Pines Elementary. I began my coaching career at Pine Ridge High School which I coached for 10 years before arriving at Deland High School.

I am happily married to my wife, Kristen, for 8 years and we have a golden retriever named Roxie and a beagledor named Peanut.
