Lauren Fantone Signs with University of Tampa
Congratulations to Lauren Fantone who signed with the University of Tampa to play softball.
Lauren is an outstanding scholar and athlete at DeLand High School. She is a member of the International Baccalaureate program carrying a weighted GPA of 4.64, ranking her as 10th in her graduating class. Lauren is also a member of the Student Government Association and National Honor Society.
As a student athlete she has played an integral role as the short stop and lead-off hitter on the DeLand High Softball team for the past three seasons. Currently, she carries a .452 career batting average, has 122 hits, and has scored 69 runs.
Lauren has tremendous support from her family including her parents, Marc and Jen, and her siblings, Ryan and Emily. You will often find her grandparents, John, Linda, Mike and Ladonna, alongside the field cheering her on. In addition, Lauren has played travel ball for four years for Coach Lovett and the Santa Fe Inferno. She will enter the University of Tampa as undecided, with an interest in Criminology, and a love of green beans.
