Spring Sports Announce Try-Outs and Conditioning Workouts

DeLand High School Spring Sports are starting up soon.  The information provided here is a snapshot of what to expect in the coming weeks.  

Remember:  ALL athletes must have completed clearance paperwork on file through the athletic clearance website prior to any workouts and tryouts.

TENNIS:  Coach Justin Wetter (Room 7-201 for more information)

January 18th-21st: Tryout matches from 4 pm to 6 pm for Boys and Girls

BOYS WEIGHTLIFTING: Coach Damion Dunn (ESE Office- extension 23306 for more information)

Opening Workouts Have started and are ongoing

February 2nd- First Meet

BASEBALL:  Coach Chris Hopkins (Room 16-100 for more information)

Open Field Ongoing

January 24th:  Tryouts Begin after school at Baseball Complex on campus

SOFTBALL: Coach Kristin D'Aquino (Room 16-101 for more information)

January 18th-21st: Conditioning 

January 25th-28th:  Tryouts Begin at the Softball Complex on campus

FLAG FOOTBALL (Girls):  Coach Alex Russell  (School email for information)

Every Tuesday and Thursday:  Open Field Conditioning Workouts (Bring Cleats)

February 9th:  Pre-Tryout Lunch Mandatory Meeting (See Coach for Details)

February 14th and 15th:  Tryouts after school

TRACK AND FIELD:  Coach James Lowenstein (Girls) and Coach Christopher Madzik (Boys) (Contact Coach Low in Room 1-109 for more information)

January 18th and 20th:  Open Track conditioning after school

All are welcome to attend the first practice on January 31st.  Team members are required to attend every practice and participate in all track and field events during the season.
