XC to Host 5-Star Conference Championship Monday, October 17th! (Postponed from 10/12)

5 Star Conference Schools:

  • Atlantic (Port Orange)
  • DeLand
  • Flagler Palm Coast
  • Mainland
  • New Smyrna Beach
  • Pine Ridge
  • Seabreeze
  • Spruce Creek
  • University (Orange City)
  • Taylor Middle/High School

Schedule:

5:00PM - All Girls

5:45PM - All Boys

6:30PM - Awards

All-Conference Teams

1st - 3rd Medals for JV

Spectators: No Admission or Parking Charge!!

Our reasons for postponement until Monday:

1. Trees down on the course due to Hurricane Matthew.

2. Flooding on portions of the course.

3. Power company trucks using the parking lot as a staging area.

4. The soccer fields are unaffected and the city has youth league soccer on Thursdays, the facility is unavailable for XC since the course runs adjacent to those fields.

5. Elite Timing is timing and scoring the meet and they are booked Friday and Saturday.

6. School was canceled in both Flagler and Volusia Counties on Monday and Tuesday of this week and many of our athletes still do not have electricity restored after the storm.
